The New England Patriots will close out their preseason slate on Sunday against the Washington Commanders.
That game, along with the practices leading up to it, will be the last opportunity for players to win over the coaching staff for a spot on the final 53-man roster. The final roster cutdown date is slated for August 27.
So it won't be long before the Patriots' official 2024 regular season roster is locked into place.
Matthew Judon being traded to the Atlanta Falcons and Christian Barmore potentially missing time has opened up new opportunities for defensive players to earn a roster spot.
