The Las Vegas Raiders hosted New England Patriots restricted free agent linebacker Christian Elliss on a visit Monday, per ESPN’s Mike Reiss.
Elliss recorded 80 tackles and 1.5 sacks to go along with five pass deflections, a forced fumble and an interception in 16 games last season. He started in five of those games.
Typically known for his special teams play, Elliss provided depth for a Patriots linebacker position that was thinned following the loss of Ja’Whaun Bentley early in the season. He stepped in as an under-the-radar player and surprised as one of the defensive standouts for the team last season.
