Get cracking on those mock drafts.
After the NFL doled out compensatory picks for the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft Thursday evening, the New England Patriots draft order is officially set.
The Patriots were awarded a 4th-round draft pick, 135 overall, as a result of losing cornerback J.C. Jackson to the Los Angeles Chargers and a sixth-rounder, 210 overall, for the loss of Ted Karras to the Cincinnati Bengals during the 2022 offseason.
The NFL awards compensatory picks in the draft based on a formula that accounts for snap counts, yearly salary and postseason awards of departing free agents.
