Draft day doesn’t end for the New England Patriots when the selection called. It’s time to shift focus to undrafted free agents.
As we’ve seen from players like Malcolm Butler, J.C Jackson, Adam Butler and Jakobi Meyers, draft position isn’t everything for Bill Belichick’s Patriots.
The Patriots have a long history of taking unheralded players after the draft and turning them into contributors, starters and stars. At least one undrafted player has made the Patriots final roster every season in recent memory.
Following the conclusion of the draft, all 32 teams are launching into a flurry of activity to try and bring in players who didn’t hear their names called on draft day.
