The Patriots locked up Brandon King, one of their core special teamers, with a two-year, $2.6 million contract extension today.
Speaking with him earlier, he’s thrilled to be returning. The Patriots had extended Brandon Bolden to a one-year extension last month. King represents another special teams domino to fall. There could be more to follow, especially with Matthew Slater, Nate Ebner, and Johnson Bademosi, other important members of the special teams unit due to hit free agency next week.
“It’s been a great thing with all those guys. Everyone brings different things to the table,” said King.
