Green Bay Packers defender Jermaine Whitehead got tossed from Sunday night’s game against the New England Patriots.
We’re still trying to figure out why.
Whitehead, Andrews get heated
Whitehead, a linebacker/safety hybrid for the Packers, got involved in a tussle after the whistle with Patriots center David Andrews late in the first half.
The two got their bodies tangled up, prompting Andrews to shove Whitehead. Whitehead responded with an open-hand smack to Andrews’ helmet, prompting Andrews to immediately plead with officials for a flag.
He got one.
Whitehead flagged for unnecessary roughness
Whitehead drew a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty for the smack.
