One day after head coach Jerod Mayo gave a positive update on Christian Barmore, the New England Patriots defensive tackle is indeed set to return to practice. As first reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Barmore will be back on Thursday for the first time since late July.
His return will open a 21-day window in which the Patriots can either activate him to the 53-man roster, or keep him on the non-football injury list for the remainder of the season.
Earlier this month, Jerod Mayo claimed that defensive tackle Christian Barmore would be “getting close” to making a comeback.
