The New England Patriots got some good news and some bad news when the Pro Football Hall of Fame released its list of 15 finalists for the class of 2025.
Longtime Patriots kicker Adam Vinatieri made the cut. So did running back Fred Taylor, who finished his career in New England. On the other hand, former Patriots safety Rodney Harrison fell short once again in his bid for enshrinement.
Saturday’s announcement is great news for Vinatieri, who’s in his first year of eligibility. Remembered as one of the most clutch kickers of all time, Vinatieri was a three-time All-Pro selection, a four-time Super Bowl champ, and is the league’s all-time leader in field goals made.
