If there’s one truth about the NFL it’s that injuries are inevitable, and like many other teams, the New England Patriots have had their fair share of devastating ailments over the years.
In fact, the Patriots saw perhaps their two best defenders go down with what are likely to be season-ending injuries against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. Christian Gonzalez’s promising rookie season will end with a torn labrum, while Matthew Judon’s torn biceps is expected to keep him out for at least two months.
The 2023 Patriots will certainly miss their defensive stalwarts, but New England has seen far more devastating injuries in the past — especially if you take into account how they impacted season finishes.
