FOXBORO -- As the Patriots build up toward next week's NFL draft, their strategy would be dramatically altered if they moved one or both of their two significant trade pieces.
But Pats director of player personnel Nick Caserio danced around the status of quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and cornerback Malcolm Butler. The Browns have led the charge in attempting to acquire Garoppolo, but they haven't offered enough to entice the Patriots to pull the trigger. Some reports even indicate Garoppolo won't be moved under any circumstances.
Caserio, who conducted his annual pre-draft news conference today, was asked if Garoppolo is strictly not for sale.
