NFLPA Files Appeal of Tom Brady’s Suspension

The NFL Players Association has filed an official appeal of Tom Brady’s four game suspension. This is the first official action on behalf of Brady or the Patriots in response to the discipline doled out by the NFL in response to the Wells Report.

The NFLPA has called for an independent arbitrator to hear the case. The responsibility to name an arbitrator falls to the commissioner, Roger Goodell. As I pointed out before the discipline was handed out, the most likely candidate to hear such a case is Goodell’s friend and former front office employee Harold Henderson.
