The 2024 NFL trade deadline is approaching fast, and the New England Patriots are one of the teams to keep a close eye on.
Despite their 2-7 record, they could be both buyers and sellers before the trading window closes no Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 4 p.m. ET. After all, they are in the early stages of an all-encompassing rebuild: finding out which assets to keep while simultaneously strengthening the position for the future is key.
In years past, the Patriots have never shied away from making deadline moves. Even though New England has not been active in three straight years now, the team under previous head coach/general manager Bill Belichick has swung at least one deadline trade in five of the last 11 years.
