But the Patriots were among many teams that checked in with the Lions about their starting quarterback before Detroit dealt him to the Los Angeles Rams over the weekend, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer.
In his "MMQB" column Monday, Breer revealed what several teams were willing to send the Lions in a trade for Stafford.
