The New England Patriots took a linebacker and an edge rusher away from the Las Vegas Raiders in free agency.
And now, the Raiders potentially could steal away a linebacker from the Patriots.
ESPN’s Mike Reiss reported Monday that restricted free agent Christian Elliss made a visit to the Raiders. The Patriots tendered Elliss at the right-of-first-refusal level prior to the start of free agency.
That would allow the Patriots to at least match the Raiders if Las Vegas feels inclined to sign Elliss an offer sheet. But if Elliss decides to join the Raiders, the Patriots will get no compensation in return since Elliss entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent, per Reiss.
