Just a couple of weeks after losing franchise legend, Tom Brady, to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in free agency, the Patriots decided to release former Eagles quarterback Cody Kessler on Wednesday, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
Kessler spent most of last season bouncing on-and-off the Patriots’ 53-man roster. The 26-year-old quarterback never appeared in a game for the Patriots, despite his nearly season-long tenure.
