The New England Patriots are taking a careful approach this offseason, especially when examining free agents.
New England became tied to several premier free agents, watching most of them sign elsewhere, including two-time Pro Bowler Ronnie Stanley, who re-signed with the Baltimore Ravens. But that doesn’t mean the front office and ownership aren’t trying and aren’t considering these candidates, even as they proceeded to ink deals outside of Foxborough. The next notable tackle available in free agency, for example: Cam Robinson, isn’t just examined for his on-field production and abilities.

“Cam Robinson’s reputation is a little spotty, so there may be some feel there,” Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reported Tuesday.
