NFL Rumors: Another Potential Patriots Target Comes Off Board

The New England Patriots have the money to spend this offseason, but apparently will miss out on signing offensive tackle Alaric Jackson.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported on Friday that the Rams “are getting close on a long-term extension” with Jackson. Fowler added that the deal was not done but “trending in the right direction,” per sources. The reported deal would be for three years and $57 million.

Jackson started 14 games for the Rams last season after being suspended for the first two games of the 2024 campaign from violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
