NFL playoff picture: Patriots, Ravens still in a two-team race for the AFC’s number one seed

It may not have been overly pretty but since style points do not matter in the NFL, the New England Patriots were still able to bounce back from their loss against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9: the reigning world champions went on the road and defeated the Philadelphia Eagles with a final score of 17-10, improving their regular season record to 9-1 — the 19th straight winning season earned by the Patriots organization.

Beating Philadelphia also ensured that the team stays atop the AFC for another week, despite the second-seeded Ravens owning the head-to-head tiebreaker after their win versus New England two weeks ago.
