The NFL and NFLPA have come to an agreement on the 2016 drug and steroid policies, and it includes one major addition — synthetic weed.
In an NFLPA press release, it reads: “Synthetic Marijuana” – known by the names Spice, K2 and Blaze, among others – has been added to the standard testing panel.”
That’s a significant development. Although the drug was not previously part of the testing panel, league medical advisors had the power to add it to individual players’ testing when they saw fit.
