According to Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston, the Patriots hosted wide receiver Nate Washington yesterday on a free agent visit.
The New England Patriots hosted veteran receiver Nate Washington on a free-agent visit on Monday, as the team considers adding another pass-catching target after signing Chris Hogan to a three-year, $12 million contract late last week.
The 6-foot-1, 183-pound Washington played for the Houston Texans last season, starting 14 games and totaling 47 catches for 658 yards and four touchdowns. Because the Texans, coached by former New England offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien, run a similar offensive system to the Patriots it adds a layer to the personnel evaluation that the team doesn’t always have.
