NFL Draft prospect Kyren Lacy dead at 24

Kyren Lacy, a former wide receiver of the LSU Tigers and NFL Draft hopeful, has passed away. He was 24 years old.

A Louisiana native, Lacy played high school football in his hometown of Thibodaux and later attended the University of Louisiana as a four-star recruit. After two seasons with the Ragin’ Cajuns, he transferred to LSU where he developed into a productive starter-level wideout. Starting 24 games in three seasons, he caught 85 passes for 1,692 yards and 16 touchdowns.

For as productive as he was on the field — so much so that he had realistic hopes of getting drafted at one point— he was facing major legal problems.
