The New England Patriots are always a strong candidate to trade down in the NFL Draft. This is especially true for the 2020 draft class.
Normally, that can be frustrating for fans. But this year, it could mean grabbing a first-round talent at wide receiver somewhere in Round 2.
The 2020 draft class is notoriously deep at the receiver position. That’s a good sign for a Patriots team that desperately needs one and is sitting all the way back at No. 23 in the first round.
If teams start panicking at the end of Round 1 after falling in love with one of those top receivers, a second-tier QB or defensive star, don’t be surprised if Bill Belichick is all-too-willing to fall back in the draft.
