Tom Brady and the NFL now have a court date - March 3.
Officials for the federal appeals court in New York scheduled oral arguments for that day so that lawyers for Brady and the league can plead their cases in the Deflategate saga.
That’s almost a month after Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7, which will allow the remainder of the Patriots season - however long it lasts - to go on without the distraction of an imminent legal hearing.
The sides had originally asked the court to schedule a hearing as early as the first week of February, which would be the week leading up to the Super Bowl.
