Looking to reignite his career, Marqise Lee figures there’s nowhere better than New England.
After racking up 1,553 yards across the 2016 and 2017 seasons, Jacksonville rewarded Lee with a four-year, $38 million payday. He caught four passes for 41 yards in their AFC Championship loss at Foxborough, too.
But a gnarly hit in the 2018 preseason shredded Lee’s knee — he tore his ACL, MCL, and PCL — and he last season he landed back on injured reserve with a shoulder injury. All told, he’s caught three passes over the last two years.
As such, the Jags released Lee, and Bill Belichick inked him to the veteran minimum in March.
