New England Patriots’ wide Kendrick Bourne suffered a torn right ACL, according to a report. An MRI Monday morning confirmed the injury, which will end Bourne’s season.
The former Milwaukie High School star suffered the injury on the first play of the fourth quarter during the Patriots’ 31-17 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Bourne caught a six-yard pass from quarterback Mac Jones and was pushed out of bounds by Miami cornerback Eli Apple. Bourne remained on the turf while holding his right knee.
The injury ends what was developing into a comeback season for Bourne.
