According to Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston, the New England Patriots worked out three defensive tackles yesterday, with former Jet Kenrick Ellis the most noteworthy of the group.
The New England Patriots continue to work out a variety of free agents as part of the process of keeping their emergency lists fresh, and on Monday they had three big-bodied defensive tackles in town — Kenrick Ellis, Ishmaa’ily Kitchen and Toby Johnson.
Like Reiss said, this is just for emergency purposes, as the Patriots are actually very deep along the defensive front this year.
