Patriots head coach Bill Belichick usually likes to schedule joint practices with other teams during training camp, but he won’t have that chance this summer.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell informed teams Tuesday that joint practices won’t be allowed in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to NFL.com’s Tom Pelissero. Goodell sent a memo to teams informing them that training camps must be held at team facilities and not at other locations this summer.
While the training camp part of the rule change doesn’t affect the Patriots (who hold training camp in Foxborough) anyway, the joint practice piece will.
