The New England Patriots and the New York Jets will meet tonight in the Meadowlands for the 122nd time in NFL history. The Patriots boast an overall lead in the bitter AFC East divisional rivalry by a margin of 66-54-1. New England also leads the series in postseason meetings by a 2-1 edge.
The Jets owned three of four decades in the rivalry (1960s, 1970s, 1990s) before the arrival of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick at the turn of the millennium. Since that terrific tandem came to Foxborough however, the Patriots have raced out to a 30-11 advantage.
