Over the last couple weeks I have gone through each position group and analyzed who I thought would make the Patriots’ final roster come September, and last up on the list is the special teams.
This was the easiest group to predict, as barring any unforeseen circumstances with long-snapper Joe Cardona (who is in the Navy), the Pats’ depth chart of special teamers will remain the same: kicker Stephen Gostkowski, punter Ryan Allen and Cardona as the long-snapper. Christian Yount is currently on the roster as a second long-snapper, but again, as long as Cardona doesn’t have to go away because of his duties with the Navy, Yount is only a training camp body.
