PORTLAND (WGME) -- There was a New England Patriots scout in Orono Monday for Maine football's annual pro day.
Nine players spent close to three hours building their case to play pro ball, including Old Town native and Black Bears graduate senior wide receiver Andre Miller, who posted a 4.5 in the 40-yaard dash. Miller also turned to his former high school quarterback, Jake Jarvis, to fire a few passes with the scouts on hand.
"I grew up watching the Patriots, and my high school quarterback was throwing, and he's a huge Patriots fan, so we'd always go back and forth about it and stuff, but it's great,” Miller said.
