Nearly three days have passed since the New England Patriots placed star running back Dion Lewis on the injured reserve with a torn left ACL and the team still hasn't made a corresponding move to fill its open roster spot.
At this point, it doesn't appear as though the Pats will be bringing in another running back, which means it will move forward with LeGarrette Blount, James White and Brandon Bolden in the backfield.
The role of passing-down back, an important one in New England, figures to be filled by either White or Bolden, or, in all likelihood, a combination of both.
