FOXBOROUGH — As the wide receiver depth chart thins out by the day, the New England Patriots are examining options in the free agent market.
In for a visit and a physical Sunday: Ex-Colts receiver and probable future Hall of Famer Reggie Wayne.
Wayne, who will turn 37 years old in November, has received plenty of praise from Bill Belichick in recent years. This past season, Belichick said Wayne was "still a very dangerous receiver."
"(He's) a clutch player and a guy who really, when they need a play, they're not afraid to go to him and he'll deliver for them," Belichick said.
