FOXBOROUGH — Troy Hill was claimed off waivers by the Patriots on Christmas day, but he didn't make it to New Year's in New England.
Hill, the undrafted rookie cornerback out of Oregon, was waived Wednesday to make room for defensive tackle Ishmaa'ily Kitchen.
Kitchen, a 330-pounder, was with the Patriots from Dec. 16 to Dec. 22. He was released to make room for Steven Jackson.
A four-year veteran, Kitchen will supply depth on the interior defensive line, where Alan Branch and Malcom Brown have emerged as the starters. Sealver Siliga has been relegated to a backup role.
