FOXBOROUGH — After cutting three players and placing two more on reserve-PUP, the New England Patriots' roster now stands at 75 players.
As expected, the team moved running back Dion Lewis and offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer to the reserve-PUP list. Neither is eligible to play until Week 7. Lewis could return, but ESPN's Adam Schefter said Vollmer "likely will not play this year."
In addition, the team released three players:
LB Ramon Humber
TE Steven Scheu
OT Keavon Milton
Humber, who had spent the previous six seasons with the Saints, was the first player the Patriots signed in free agency this past spring.
