The New York Jets took calls on Davante Adams in hopes to trade him before March 12.
But it appears they couldn’t find a suitor.
The Jets released the All-Pro wide receiver on Tuesday, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported. The Jets will save nearly $30 million in cap space.
Adams was traded to New York by the Las Vegas Raiders in October. The star wideout was expected to bolster the Jets' offense, but even reuniting with Aaron Rodgers didn’t bring the team much help.
The Jets were 2-6 when they acquired Adams and finished the 2024 season 5-12.
