After two failed seasons with Aaron Rodgers under center, the New York Jets went younger at quarterback.
Justin Fields and the Jets reached a two-year, $40 million contract on Monday, according to multiple reports.
Fields spent the 2024 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He started the first six games of the season after Russell Wilson suffered a serious calf strain. Pittsburgh went 4-2 with Fields under center, but went to the veteran in Week 7.
In six games for the Steelers, Fields completed 65.8% of his passes, threw five touchdowns, one interception and added 289 rushing yards and five touchdowns.
