Wayne, the longtime Indianapolis Colts receiver, was out of work this offseason until the Patriots signed him on Aug. 24. The Patriots gave him a $450,000 signing bonus. Less than two weeks later, Wayne asked to be released, according to reports from ESPN.
The Patriots granted his wishes. Wayne was released. Because he requested to be cut, he will probably be returning his signing bonus as well.
