Patriots bring back the veteran linebacker and core Special teamer
The Patriots have brought back linebacker Dekoda Watson. The Patriots released Watson as part of their roster cuts in the preseason, but has returned after Week 1. With five accrued season, Watson's salary would have been guaranteed had he stayed on the roster. He will serve as more depth at linebacker and another major contributor on Special Teams. It remains to be seen if Watson is going to play on Sunday or is just a practice body for the week.
Watson takes the spot vacated when the Patriots released WR Chris Harper last night.
