FOXBOROUGH — Rookie wide receiver Chris Harper, cut Monday afternoon following his muffed punt against the Broncos, spent one full day as a free agent.
On Wednesday, he was back with the Patriots practice squad.
Harper had been promoted to the active roster on Nov. 16 to provide depth at receiver after Julian Edelman suffered a foot injury that will likely sideline him for the remainder of the regular season. He played just five offensive snaps versus Denver in Week 12, and didn't record a catch in the 30 offensive snaps he played versus Buffalo in Week 11.
