LAS VEGAS —
New England Patriots rookie quarterback Mac Jones has been named as a 2022 Pro Bowl alternate.
Several other quarterbacks opted not to go, so Jones will play for the AFC in Las Vegas on Sunday.
Jones joins a short and distinguished list of Patriots to make the Pro Bowl in their rookie seasons.
He threw 22 touchdowns to 13 interceptions while completing 67.6% of his passes for 3,801 passing yards this season.
Other New England Patriots rookies selected to the Pro Bowl include Devin McCourty (2010), Curtis Martin (1995), John Stephens (1988) and Mike Haynes (1976).
