New England Patriots’ President Jonathan Kraft: ‘We’re not good enough’

How the mighty have fallen is an apt description of the New England Patriots’ season in 2023.

The Patriots suffered a 20-17 loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday, dropping their record to an AFC-worst 2-7. The Patriots’ playoff hopes are all but officially over, meaning they are likely to miss the playoffs for the second consecutive season.

Team owner Robert Kraft and his son, team president Jonathan Kraft, seem to understand the Patriots’ current situation. The two, sitting in the owner’s suite, were caught on the television broadcast talking to each other during the third quarter of the game.
