Per Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald, the New England Patriots would entertain acquiring the 29-year-old Richard Sherman if they are unable to retain Malcolm Butler this offseason.
Based on this report, it’s clear New England’s main objective is keeping Butler. But it begs the question – who would you rather have?
With Butler’s uncertain future with the Patriots, it seems fitting to question whether or not a veteran corner like Sherman would be worth New England’s while. But for me, Butler should be your guy.
As Butler’s stock continues to rise, New England can’t help but notice, and it’s telling what the rest of the league thinks of him.
