FOXBOROUGH — A stunning loss to the Philadelphia Eagles has sent Tom Brady and the New England Patriots sliding to the No. 3 seed in the AFC, a spot few could have envisioned just nine days ago when the Pats were eyeing an undefeated season.
That seeding should be temporary, though.
The two teams above them, Cincinnati and Denver, play each other, so one is guaranteed to have three losses.
If the Pats take care of business against the Texans, Titans, Jets and Dolphins, they will at worst be tied with one other team at 14-2.
