According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the New England Patriots have placed cornerback Tarell Brown on season ending injured reserve with a foot injury.
This is a pretty big loss for the Pats, because it was clear that Brown was their second best cover corner behind Malcolm Butler. A lot of people were worried about New England’s secondary coming into the season, but I was one of the few people that thought it would be okay, and that was largely because of the play of Brown. The duo of Butler and Brown certainly wasn’t elite, but combined with the elite front seven the Patriots have, it was certainly competent.
