New England Patriots offensive lineman announces his retirement

New England Patriots sophomore offensive lineman Andrew Jelks announced his retirement on Friday. Jelks has battled multiple ACL injuries that sidelined him for the final two seasons of his college career and his entire rookie season. He had shown enough ability in his first two seasons at Vanderbilt for the Patriots to give him a chance.

Best of luck to Jelks as he transitions away from football.

The Patriots now have an open roster spot and they are likely to be interested in filling it with another offensive lineman.
