HOUSTON — New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount exited Sunday's game against Houston midway through the second quarter with a hip injury.
He was ruled out at the beginning of the second half.
Prior to the injury, Blount had been running well. He had eight carries for 40 yards, looking better than he had in recent games.
Blount was replaced by Brandon Bolden.
James White remains the pass-catching back. With Trey Williams on the practice squad and Blount sidelined, Bolden and White are the team's only two backs.
