New England Patriots injury update: Jamie Collins to miss fourth straight game

DENVER — An undisclosed illness has wiped away a quarter of Jamie Collins' 2015 season.

Collins, who returned to practice Thursday after an 18-day absence, was downgraded to out for Sunday's showdown between the Patriots and Broncos.

Linebacker Darius Fleming was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster Sunday, most likely to provide depth with Collins out.

Tight end Michael Williams and wide receiver Danny Amendola were also downgraded to out. With only three healthy receivers, the Patriots will likely rely on Rob Gronkowski and multiple tight end sets Sunday.
