New England Patriots free agency: RB Donald Brown agrees to terms, per report

The New England Patriots have added another running back to the roster.

Former Colts and Chargers back Donald Brown agreed to terms Thursday, according to Peter Schrager of Fox Sports.

Brown, the former first-round pick out of UConn in 2009, was cut by the Chargers before the free agency period. He signed a three-year, $10.5 million deal with San Diego in 2013, but was never able to seize control of the starting job.

Prior to the Chargers, Brown played five years with the Colts. His best season came in 2013, when he averaged 5.
