Bill Belichick has spent his past two first-round picks on defensive tackles, nabbing Dominique Easley in 2014 and Malcom Brown a year ago.
One looks like it'll work out.
The other? Not so much.
The Pats cut ties with Easley Wednesday after just two seasons. Easley, who tore both ACLs in college, has had difficulty staying healthy; both of his NFL seasons ended on the injured reserve. But, as The Boston Globe's Ben Volin outlined, Easley's attitude and off-field antics did not sit well with the Pats, either.
Easley will likely get claimed off waivers Thursday.
