Like the majority of Americans, Quincy Adeboyejo had Saturday off.
The wide receiver’s afternoon didn’t go the way he’d hoped though. The Patriots cut Adeboyejo, who took to Twitter with a quick quip.
A member of New England’s practice squad in 2019, Adeboyejo was a long shot to make the 53-man roster. He was entering his fourth professional season, after spending the first two in Baltimore and appeared in one game.
As it stands, the Patriots have 10 wide receivers still at camp: Julian Edelman, Mohamed Sanu, N’Keal Harry, Jakobi Meyers, Damiere Byrd, Gunner Olszewski, Devin Ross, as well as undrafted rookies Jeff Thomas, Will Hastings and Isaiah Zuber.
